Dains is recruiting an experienced and strategic Applications Manager, to join our highly successful IT team.





Our recent acquisitions create a fast-paced and exciting place to work! You will be working across the whole Dains Group, giving you exposure to different service needs that will allow you to work independently in the development of a strong application process.





As Applications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s IT landscape. Your primary focus will be to consolidate and standardize the IT systems across the entire Dains Group.





Dains is ranked 31st in the National Accountancy Age ranking by firm size and was the fastest-growing firm within the surveyed top 100 accountancy firms in the UK.  The team is now over 650 people strong with offices throughout the UK and Ireland.





You will play a key part in the strategic leadership of the application process by anticipating the direction of the business.





Responsibilities






  • Strategic Leadership: You will provide hands on involvement to the applications process and play a pivotal part in the overall delivery of strategic recommendations to support the direction of business




  • Standardisation: You will oversee the day-to-day support and maintenance of all business applications and processes and ensure high levels of reliability, and performance




  • System Integration: You will build strong relationships and work closely with members of the Dains Group to integrate and align technology solutions with business strategies




  • Efficiency Enhancement: You will lead, standardise, and develop application management across the group to actively improve efficiency during integration




  • Root Cause Analysis: You will be responsible for identifying re-occurring issues within internal processes and effectively report on these issues to the Technology Director




  • Security and Compliance: Actively ensure compliance and security protocols are followed to a high standard.Vendor Management: You will build strong relationships





Skills and Qualifications






  • You will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other IT related field




  • Have proven experience in application management, preferably in a large-scale organization




  • You will have a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, and enterprise applications




  • You will be able to present excellent communication and leadership skills to the wider IT team.




  • Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., ITIL, PMP) are advantageous
